The street front is symmetrical: a central door under the cast-iron lacework of the verandah, a window either side and a picket fence, all painted white, beneath a corrugated metal roof. From the open door the hallway runs the full depth of the house to a bright, glazed space at the rear. Inside, the rooms are warm and plain: textured plaster walls, a dark timber dining table with rounded ends and tan leather chairs, sunlight falling in stripes across them. Architecture and interiors were designed together.
